Duty relief orders related to COVID-19 pandemic will end on May 7, 2022

Remission orders implemented by the Government of Canada in 2020 to improve the availability of certain goods required to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic will be expiring on May 7, 2022.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has issued Customs Notices to provide information on this matter:

– Customs Notice 22-09 Expiry of Customs Notice 20-08 Imported Goods for Emergency Use in Response to COVID-19

– Customs Notice 22-08 Order Repealing the Certain Goods Remission Order (COVID-19)
