Federal government ratifies CBSA employees’ collective agreement
The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat announced that the federal government has approved the tentative agreement for the employees of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
The tentative agreement was ratified on July 4, 2024 by the Public Service Alliance of Canada members employed by the CBSA and will be signed by both parties in the coming days. Employees will then see wage and other enhancements within agreed-to timelines.
The four-year agreement, which expires in June 2026, includes wage increases of 12% over 4 years, which aligns with agreements recently signed for other public servants, plus a 2.8% adjustment that recognizes the unique role of these employees.
